The Old Mill
Due to current high demand, the Old Mill kits can take longer than normal to produce, please be patient.
"The Old Mill" by Mini Vintage is a fully modular 1:12 kit that allows you to build your own unique factory.
You start with a front and end module and put as many extension modules in between as you like. You can also build just a single module, for example, to place against another building.
The great thing about this building is that you can always add modules later or modify the ones you already have. Only the structural items are glued giving you the opportunity to lift the roof and remove one or more walls for accessibility at any time.
The sky is the limit! Build any length you want, for any purpose you can imagine.
All accessories as can be seen in the photos (including drainage/plants/furnature) are not included in the kit. The kit is supplied unassembled and not painted
You can find more information in the product description.
The factory is a modular kit and built from separate units. The factory entrance and factory exit can be joined together to create a small factory of about 42 cm long and 34 wide. If the factory is to be longer then there are 3 different module sizes that can be placed between the front and back sections.
- Front Section : 23,7 cm long x 34 cm wide
- Back Section : 18,7 cm long x 34 cm wide
- Extension 1 : 15,7 cm long x 34 cm wide
- Extension 2 : 20,5 cm long x 34 cm wide
- Extension 3: 30 cm long x 34 cm wide
The total height of the factory (to the top of the roof) is approximately 45cm.
Each extension can be joined (without glue) to any other section and the walls for each section can be extracted and placed in any other extension of the same size.
To create a factory, it is suggested that a decision is made as to the required length of the factory. The number of extensions can then be determined and added between the front and back modules. Each extension wall can be inserted/extracted as needed and placed in another extension of the same size. It is of course possible to start with only the front and/or back section and then extend as needed in the future.
The prototype as seen on the Mini Vintage stand at the fairs is made up of Front and Back sections + Extension 2 + 2 x Extension 3 (with wall options 2 and 3). - Full Floor is 28cm wide (full width of the inside area) and is seemlessly joinded to the prior and next sections.
Entering the building when complete
To enter a building which has walls all around, the easiest way to enter the building is lift the roof up, or remove one or more walls. The removal of walls can be performed by shifting the walls upwards and then out of the frame. The walls can then be replaced afterwards.
